A number of hands-on QualiChain workshops will be delivered to renowned international conferences on open education and educational technology later this year. In particular, Alexander Mikroyannidis (The Open University, UK) will be delivering QualiChain workshops at:
- The Association for Learning Technology Conference (ALTC 2019), 3–5 September 2019, Edinburgh, UK.
- The Online, Open and Flexible Higher Education Conference (OOFHEC2019), 16-18 October 2019, Madrid, Spain.
- The Open Education Global Conference (OE Global 2019), 26-28 November 2019, Milan, Italy.
During these hands-on workshops, participants will explore the different scenarios that place the learner at the very centre of the learning process and its associated data via the use of Blockchain technology. The ways that ePortfolios, accreditation, tutoring, as well as other aspects of teaching and learning can evolve within a learner-centred ecosystem based on the Blockchain will also be discussed. The outcomes of these workshops will feed into the requirements of the QualiChain pilot conducted by the Open University.
